Upcycled. Statement. Filipina.

Before it became a Katso Bolero, this fabric was a katsa (flour sack), sitting in someone’s kitchen for years. We pull that same katsa out, wash it, cut it, and turn it into something you’d want to wear out.

Whatever print survived on that particular sack is what you get, so no two ever come out the same. Some have a heavier vintage fade, some still have readable text across the back, some barely show a print at all. The collar and panels get finished with local hand weaves, done by weavers we work with directly, so every piece carries a bit of their craft alongside the fabric’s own history. Cropped and lightweight enough to throw over a dress, button halfway over a plain top, or layer over activewear on your way out.

IMPORTANT NOTE: Since this comes from upcycled fabric, expect some variation. Print placement, pocket placement, and weave details can shift batch to batch depending on what materials we have on hand. You might also see small thread holes, some discoloration, or texture that’s not perfectly even. That’s the fabric’s history showing through.
